Information processed

The app creates a random identifier in this browser. It stores that identifier with votes, approved or pending submissions, comments, reports and basic events such as sharing. Your vote history, adult confirmation and draft activity are also stored on this device. If you contact us or participate in a business poll, we process the contact and business details you provide.

Why it is processed

We use this information to operate voting, prevent duplicate votes, moderate content, investigate abuse, measure basic product use, respond to requests and run agreed business polling. The app does not currently sell personal information or run targeted advertising.

Service providers and transfers

The test beta is hosted using OpenAI Sites infrastructure and its underlying cloud services. Those providers process data to host, secure and deliver the service. Data may be processed outside South Africa with contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to the service.

Retention and security

We keep information only while it is reasonably needed for the purposes above, legal obligations, security and disputes. Access to moderation and business records is restricted to the owner account. No internet service can guarantee absolute security; suspected privacy or security incidents should be reported immediately.

Your choices and rights

You may ask for access, correction, objection or deletion, and may complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator. Because public participation is pseudonymous, include the relevant link and browser identifier where possible. The button below deletes records linked to this browser identifier and clears local voting data.

Changes

This notice will be updated before any public launch, payment processing, advertising, new analytics, account system or material change in data use.
